At the point of the impact all 44 passengers on board perished. The huge crash knocked out power and water in the town. Although the video of the plane crashing was not caught on tape, the video at the bottem of this page was the 1st recorded video shot afer the crash of UA93, showing a smoke cloud rise above he crash site, causing panic among eyewitnesses such as Kelly Leverknight, Eric Peterson, and Val McClatchey

"I heard the plane going over and I went out the front door and I saw the plane going down. It was headed for the school, which panicked me, because all three of my kids were there."
-Kelly Leverknight
"It was low enough, I thougt you could probably count the rivets. You could see more the roof of the pplane than the belly. It was on its side. There was a great explosion and you could see the flames. It was a massive, massive explosion. Flames and them smoke and then a massive, massive mushroom cloud."
-Eric Peterson
